There are times in all of our lives when we want to glance at the back of the book in hope of finding the elusive answers. Many of us in this world absolutely live to find the words “SPOILER ALERT” online so we can dive right in to the article and be just a bit more omnipotent than our closest friends. And who among us hasn’t either absorbed the Cliff’s Notes or binged a BookTok (yep – it’s a thing) to avoid the incredible amounts of time it takes to – gasp – read the WHOLE thing.
Bad news. This overview ain’t gonna do that.
I mean, come on! We’ve only just begun this journey. The time it’ll take to read this overview alone is probably longer than scrolling through all the strips Dave has posted so far.
But here’s what we CAN tell you. The story started out in what looks like an old lighthouse, set in an otherwise undisturbed corner of the Galapagos Islands. What that has to do with a relatively clueless middle-aged guy in a suburb of Richmond, Virginia has not yet been revealed. But avid story-readers out there can put two and two together and make some safe assumptions that somehow they must be connected. Well done, ink drinkers.
For now, you can look forward to more big reveals at the slow drip speed of one strip a week. We know – outrageous. Let’s see where life takes us all, with the hopes of bigger and better things in the months and years ahead that bring us all fulfillment and joy, with maybe a few conversation starters along the way.
